I’m writing a book.  I trust at some point in time you’ll be interested in reading it.  So a thank you before hand on my part is warranted. . . Thank you! 

The book is on personal growth and coming of age or coming into ones true self – aacceptance and acknowledgement of ones gifts and purpose.  It is being written as fable or story much the way Paulo Coelho and Robin Sharma’s books are written.  As with most books on personal growth, you neeed to do SOME research, your quotes or assistance in broadening your knowledge on a subject.  The old way was to interview an expert, go to the library or physically be present to the event or location.  My book takes place on a tropical island in the Pacific.  Because of the power of the Internet and things such as Google Earth and Wikipedia, I don’t have to have actuallyhave gone to the actual island to be able to write about it.   I can see the island virtually from the comfort of my desk.  Though I still had to have some experience with tropical weather to be able to write realistically on the topic.  The Internet is Amazing..

In my book I need some background information for a character (history), I posted a question on facebook.  My friends gave me some locations to start looking (websites) and poof I was off and running. 

I posted I was writing a book and my friend who is an editor saw my post, she expressed an interest in my book.  Poof, I had an editor.

I see other Authors using social Media to promote there book…  So I am excited about using the Internet to promote my book.

What is it going to be – reasons or results?”  – Art Turock

I love this line.  It’s the story of my life!  I wasted so much of my energy coming up with reasons why things did or didn’t happen, instead of just using my energy to make them happen.

And now, graciously, I am stepping into a new phase of ‘allowing’ things to happen, instead of ‘making’ them happen.  Yet I am all too clear that I still have to take action in order to see those results.  I have to take baby steps that will move me in the direction of the result I which to reach.  (So I don’t find myself wasting more energy coming up with reasons why the results haven’t happened!)

Ask yourself, “What’s it going to be – reasons or results?”  If it’s results you’re after, then take an action to step to bring you closer to those results.

Hmmm… why do I so often resist writing?  It makes no sense. When I write, I feel alive.  Life feels easy and flowing. Synchronicities happen like crazy (which, as I said in my article in the Feb/March issue of Synchronicity Magazine, is a clear indication that I am in alignment with my purpose).  Yet all too often, I let days and even weeks go by without sitting down to write whatever wants to pour forth from me.

 Is it my ego’s attempt to stay in control?  If I’m kept busy doing ‘things’ by that nagging voice that tells me what I ‘should’ do, then I am less connected with Divine source.  And writing is certainly that connection for me.  I never create an outline or ‘plan’ what I will write.  I just start writing and stuff pours out. Oh, sure I go back and edit and reword, but the main message always seems to come from a source greater than me.

 So, by keeping me too busy to write, ego gets to be in charge, rather than taking a back seat to Divine guidance.

 What does your ego stop you from doing that would keep you connected to Divine Source?  What is it that you love to do, and find easy to do, yet rarely gift yourself with the time to do? 

 When you’ve got that figured out, you’ll have a uncovered a clue about your destiny.
