An interesting pondering!!

I recently had coffee with an individual, a potential client for me.  This person currently coaches other people and has found themselves in a slippery situation.
The coach has discovered they have feelings for a current client of theirs.  The client is in a long term relationship with mixed feelings towards keeping the relationship going.  The coach is being drawn to wanting to start a relationship with the client. . .

One of the thoughts I offered to my potential client was to take the “Moral High Ground”.  Well that lead us to a very interesting philosophical conversation unto itself…   Who’s morals are we basing the high ground on?

So after some ponderings onto the questions, I came up with this satement regarding what is my version of the moral high ground:  “Moral high ground is doing what is right FOR the bigger picture outcome in any given situation despite what the immediate situation presents”.

So my question to you is what does the term / phrase “Moral High Ground” mean to you?
